At I/O 2022, Google announced that the Pixel 6 and 6 Pro had already outperformed the Pixel 4 and Pixel 5 series.
"It's the fastest-selling Pixel phone ever despite all the supply constraints in the industry," said Brian Rakowski, Vice President of Product Management at Google, as he unveiled the Pixel 6a.
This isn't the first time Google has touted the success of the Pixel 6 duo. Sundar Pichai, CEO of Alphabet, revealed that the company set a record Pixel sales in the fourth quarter of 2021. It's a mistake to assume that they are partly responsible for this feat.
"The response from our customers and carrier partners on the Pixel 6 has been incredibly positive," Pichai revealed during an earnings call.
