Sony has revealed a new quick editing mode for PS5 Share Factory Studio that will allow users to create short playable videos with preset formats similar to Tik-Tok.
In a blog post, Sony clarified a new editing feature called Bits that will allow players to choose an organized bit pattern for their gameplay clip, or customize their shots further using the “Quick Edit” mode.
Players can expect new bit patterns to be released every week. Bits themes will be based on special events, holidays, seasons, and popular content.
“Our goal with Bits is to make it incredibly easy and fun for PlayStation players to create and share short videos to share great achievements, exciting events and any other kind of eye-catching content,” the company wrote in the official PlayStation Blog.
Share Factory Studio is a free PlayStation editing app that allows players to capture and edit gameplay footage directly on their devices and share it on social media. The app comes packed with advanced video and audio editing features, including HDR video support and the ability to add animations, stickers, filters, and sound effects.
But for those overwhelmed by Share Factory Studio’s many options, Bits seems like an easy way to produce social media-friendly gameplay clips.
