Apple is preparing to release a slew of new devices between fall 2022 and the first half of 2023, according to a report by Bloomberg’s Mark Gorman.

This includes four iPhone 14s, a handful of new iPads, three smartwatches, a number of Macs equipped with the M2/M3 chipset, updated AirPods Pro, a new HomePod, and a model Apple TV with enhanced specifications.

At its Worldwide Developers Conference earlier this month, Apple announced two new Macs with its flagship M2 processor. But Gorman expects the chip to reach many other devices.

This includes Mac mini with M2 chipset, Mac mini with M2 Pro chipset, 14- and 16-inch MacBook Pro with M2 Max and M2 Pro chipsets , as well as Mac Pros with M2 Ultra and M2 Extreme chipsets.

And there’s a mixed reality headset that has long been rumored to be developed by Apple, which is also expected to come with an M2 chip.

Gorman says Apple’s M3 processor is in development and will likely appear in its 13- and 15-inch MacBook Air laptops launched next year.

Apple is known to be preparing to launch the iPhone 14 series this fall, and Gorman’s report provides a summary of all the rumors that have been circulating over the past year.

For example, the Pro and Pro Max models get the new and more powerful A16 chip, as well as support for the Always On Display feature.

The iPhone 14 Pro models are also supposed to come with a 48MP camera sensor. There is also a new redesigned notch with a hole for Face ID and a selfie camera.

Gorman says the regular iPhone 14 has the A15 chip that came with the iPhone 13. With a 6.7-inch model replacing the two Mini models, Gorman says.

Apple has several new devices starting in the fall

In terms of iPads, Apple may release 11- and 12.9-inch iPad Pro models equipped with an M2 processor later this year. Plus a larger 14-15-inch iPad coming in the next year or two.

Gorman also backs up an earlier rumor that the new iPad will come with an A14 chip, 5G connectivity, and USB-C.

Apple is also expected to release three new models of its smartwatch this fall, the Watch Series 8 and Watch Series 8 SE, and a more solid model aimed at people who engage in extreme sports.

The S8 chip in the upcoming Watch Series 8 offers the same level of performance as the previous S7 and S6 chips. But next year’s watch will have an upgraded processor.

The company may stop production of the Watch Series 3 this fall in favor of the Watch Series 8 SE.

And Apple didn’t have much to say about tvOS at WWDC. But the company may reveal a new Apple TV platform with an A14 chip and slightly more RAM this fall.

This makes the device suitable for the additional gaming capabilities that we can see in tvOS 16, Gorman points out.

The company is also gearing up to launch the HomePod which has received an upgrade. But it probably won’t happen until next year.

According to Gorman, the upcoming HomePod comes in a similar size and performance level to the original device released in 2018. It is expected to have an S8 chip, an updated screen, and possible support for multi-touch functions.

The AirPods Pro headphones are set to be upgraded as well, as Gorman expects a new chip and improved audio.
