If you have started hearing Realme as the name of a smartphone, smartwatch, TV screen or laptop, or if you come across that yellow box that is unique to the company so much these days in the shops, you are not alone! Because this small Chinese tech company, has its say in the market and spread widely in the world recently.

Realme originated in China, but today it has reached all parts of the world, especially India, Europe, the Middle East and North Africa where its low-priced smartphones have revolutionized and achieved great success in the middle and weak markets. Until Realme has become one of the fastest growing and popular phone companies over the past few years.

Speaking of smartphones, Realme has three major product lines to market its devices across the world. Although the company has many phone names such as Narzo, Q, U, and V-prefix, they are not available globally, and the company is focusing on the numbered Realme series of phones such as Realme 7 and Realme 8… It is a series of phones with average specifications, cheap in price Designed for people who need reliable hardware for the basics without the high specs. In addition, the company provides the Realme GT line, which was launched in 2021, which spans between medium to high-end phones. And the Realme C series of phones, the latest of which was the Realme C30, which was officially announced a few days ago.

Realme announced its new C30 phone on the twentieth of this month, an Android smartphone targeting low-income people in India primarily, the phone comes at a price of less than $ 100 and is one of the cheapest smartphones in this category and perhaps the least expensive device in the world up to the moment.

Design and screen in the phone Realme C30

  • Dimensions:  164.1 x 75.6 x 8.5 millimeters.
  • Weight:  182 grams.
  • Screen size: 6.5″ with a acquisition ratio of ~82.2%.
  • Screen resolution: 720 x 1600 pixels, with dimensions of 20:9 and pixel density of 270ppi.

At first glance, the Realme C30 looks great with a great design and build quality and feels pretty solid for a phone under $100, partly due to the phone’s striped back panel that makes the device nice to hold, while adding an aesthetic of a different kind. The design looks close to the Oneplus Ace .

The structure of the phone seems to be somewhat strong, although it is made of plastic, which makes the device lightweight, as it does not exceed 182 grams. The Realme C30 frame comes with flat edges and thickness of only 8.5 millimeters, and we find the volume control buttons and the power button on the right side of the device, While there is a triple SIM slot on the left side that allows the use of two SIM cards as well as an SD card to increase the storage capacity.

On the other hand, unlike the top bezel that doesn’t offer anything, the bottom edge of the device comes with a Micro USB port for charging along with a 3.5mm headphone jack, speaker and microphone, of course we can’t help ourselves criticizing the presence of a Micro USB port in 2022, Even despite the very economical price of the device, it is not an excuse to use an outdated entrance.

Regardless of the build quality and aesthetic value, the Realme C30 comes with a 6.5-inch LCD screen with a “raindrop” notch, which is expected from a device at this price. This screen also supports only HD + resolution (720 x 1600 pixels) and a refresh rate of 60 Hz. However, for Realme, the screen gets rather bright at 400 nits and offers a screen-to-body ratio of 88.7%.

  • Chip:  Unisoc Tiger T612 (12nm processor ).
  • Storage:  32 GB available with 2/3 GB RAM (UFS 2.2).
  • Battery:  5000 mAh.

The processor on the device is able to ensure smooth and responsive performance in everyday tasks such as surfing the Internet or watching YouTube videos. As for gaming performance, the device is not intended for it at all, and although it is capable of running most of the available games such as PUBG and Call of Duty Mobile, it will not provide the required smoothness and can be exposed to a significant increase in temperature.

Speaking of the operating system and user interface, the Realme C30 comes with the Realme UI Go interface based on Android 11 Go Edition . No details were revealed about the schedule of updates expected to reach the phone, but the interface integrated with the phone seems sufficient for normal use. The phone does not come with a lot of default apps pre-installed, other than about 10 to 13 which can be removed easily.

Realme C30

In terms of phone charging and battery life, the Realme C30 comes with a very large 5000mAh Li-ion battery which is likely to be able to ensure the phone can be used for a whole day in the case of normal use or provide about 5 to 6 hours of continuous use of the device.

As for fast charging, the phone does not support any kind of fast charging through the Micro USB port that it provides and comes with a regular 10W charger in the box along with a MicroUSB to USB-A cable, this means that it will take many hours to be able to fully charge the phone .

Realme C30’s Imaging System

  • Back camera: 8 MP (wide), with f/2.0 aperture, support for video shooting up to 1080P (30fps).
  • Front camera: 5 MP (wide), with f/2.2 lens slot, support for video shooting up to 720P (30fps).

In terms of the camera, the Realme phone comes with minimal settings and specifications that are commensurate with the price category that almost no one can compete with.

However, despite the phone’s very modest imaging system, the Realme C30 supports multiple shooting modes including HDR, panorama, portrait, time-lapse and more, don’t expect manual shooting mode of course.

Despite its small size compared to this year’s popular phones, the camera on the Realme C30 delivered amazing results with good color reproduction and sharpness, according to some reviewers and based on the published photos credited to the phone.
