Xiaomi announces Poco F4 and Poco X4 GT

Xiaomi has announced the Poco F4 and Poco X4 GT , offering global versions of the budget-oriented devices previously released in China.

The Poco X4 GT comes with a mid-range Dimensity 8100 chipset  with four Cortex-A78 cores and the new Mali-G610 MC6 GPU.

There is a 6.6-inch LCD screen with a resolution of 1080 x 2460 pixels (20.5:9) with a refresh rate of  144 Hz and a touch sampling rate of 270 Hz.

This is a screen that can deliver a billion colors, and it supports Dolby Vision as well. Peak brightness is 650 nits, and the panel uses DC dimming. It is also protected by Gorilla Glass 5.

Back in the chipset, it uses LiquidCool 2.0 heat management technology with a larger vapor chamber, plus there’s now 7 layers of graphite.

The chipset is paired with 8GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 128GB or 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage.

Xiaomi listened to users’ demands and brought back the 3.5mm headphone jack. This means that you don’t have to worry about Bluetooth response time and you can charge your phone while you play.

The phone has a 5080 mAh battery that charges at 67 watts with an attached power adapter. A full charge from 0% to 100% takes about 46 minutes.

This battery is enough to play videos for 22 hours continuously. Besides headphones, you can also use the dual speakers that are certified by Dolby Atmos.

Xiaomi expands the Poco family

Xiaomi equipped the device with a 64MP camera with a larger sensor than last year. It is joined by an 8-megapixel wide-angle camera with a 120-degree field of view. In addition to a 2-megapixel macro camera. There is a 20-megapixel selfie camera.

Xiaomi also provided the phone with a side-mounted fingerprint reader. In addition to the X-axis linear actuator. The device also includes support for 5G networks, Wi-Fi 6 (ax), Bluetooth 5.3, NFC and there is even an IR blaster.

The Poco X4 GT will be available on June 27 at a price of 380 euros for the 8/128 GB version and 430 euros for the 8/256 GB version.

The Poco F4 features a Snapdragon 870 processor, and Xiaomi has equipped the phone with a 64-megapixel main camera with OIS, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide camera with a 119-degree field of view, and a 2-megapixel macro camera. There is also a 20-megapixel selfie camera .

As for charging, the battery has a capacity of 4500 mAh that charges at 67 watts. This results in the phone being fully charged from 0% to 100% in 38 minutes.

There is a 6.67-inch AMOLED screen with a 120Hz refresh rate and 360Hz touch sampling rate.

The screen has a resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels (20:9) and a peak brightness of 1300 nits. This is an HDR10+ display that now also supports Dolby Vision.

In addition, there is Gorilla Glass 5. Xiaomi claims professional color adjustment with TrueColor feature.

The Poco F4 has a side-mounted fingerprint reader and an X-axis linear actuator. It also has dual Dolby Atmos speakers. But there is no 3.5mm headphone jack.

The 6/128 GB option costs 400 euros, while the 8 / 256 GB option costs 450 euros. The phone will be available from June 27.
