Samsung revealed the “Linux on Galaxy” initiative, which aims to supply the Linux system on Galaxy devices, after connecting them to the “DeX” device that it revealed with the “Galaxy S8” phones.
This initiative will come in the form of an application that allows users to run the Linux system after taking virtue of the kernel of the Android system, which is based primarily on the Linux kernel, and this means that developers will be able to transfer their work surroundings from one place to another by phone only.
The above does not mean that the user will be able to choose a Linux distribution to use on the Galaxy. But he will be able to install his Linux-compatible applications and documents without problems to use them anywhere.
There is no practical implementation of this idea at the occasion, but Samsung provides a page where you can leave an email to receive an alert as soon as the application arrives to be tested.
