Apple was the leader in the premium smartphone market in the first quarter of 2021, and again Apple achieved leadership in the premium smart device market for 2022.
In the first quarter of 2022, Apple’s share exceeded 62%, to achieve leadership again on manufacturers of premium smartphones in global markets.
Also, despite the fact that Samsung achieved a large spread with its distinguished version of the Galaxy S22 Ultra smartphones, Samsung’s market share decreased by 8% year on year.
While Apple was able to outperform Samsung, OPPO, Vivo, Huawei and Xiaomi in the global markets in the first quarter of 2022.
Apple’s market share in the global markets reached 57% during the first quarter of 2021, which rose to 62% in the first quarter of this year, according to a report by “Counterpoint Research”.
The report also indicated that Samsung’s share decreased by a small difference, but it still controlled the second place with a market share of 16%, and the Galaxy S22 Ultra was the best-selling Android phone in 2022.
Also, OPPO, Vivo and Xiaomi continue to dominate their positions in the global markets, while Huawei’s market share decreased significantly to reach only 3% in the first quarter of 2022.
