Reuters reported that after partnering with Zynga last year, TikTok was testing two mobile mini-games on its platform in Vietnam. The move could soon allow users to play games directly on the app in what Reuters sources described as a “big boost” in gaming.

TikTok confirmed that it is testing HTML5 games on its app via partnerships with Zynga and third-party developers. It is said that it plans to release ad-supported games drawn from the ByteDance library on TikTok to increase revenue and engagement.

We are always looking for ways to enrich our platform and regularly test new features and integrations,” a representative told Reuters by email.

Last year, TikTok announced a partnership with Zynga on an app called Disco Loco 3D, an HTML5 app that can run within the app. The company also created Garden of Good, a FarmVille-style mini-game that allows players to earn points for making donations.

It is worth noting that the number of Tik Tok users is more than one billion users all over the world, and the company has expected advertising revenue to reach $11 billion this year.
